M.Sc Nursing Eligibility Criteria B.Sc. Nursing Degree of this Institute or any other University accepted as equivalent thereof. Should have registered with the State Registration Council of Nursing and Mid-wifery. B.Sc. Nursing graduate should have one year of experience in a hospital or in a College or in a School of Nursing or in Community Health Program after registration in State Nursing Council. Minimum of one year of work experience prior or after Post-basic B.Sc. Nursing In case of male candidate, they should have passed any other course recommended by Indian Nursing Council in the place of Mid-wifery. Those who have studied Midwifery only are eligible for admission to Branch II and V. Candidate shall be medically fit. Candidates who have obtained Post Basic B.Sc.Nursing (P.B. B.Sc.Nursing) qualification from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) are NOT eligible for admission to M.Sc.(Nursing) course at JIPMER. Important dates- Online Registration starts 25 Apr 2018 Online Registration closes on 25 May 2018 Date of Entrance Exam 24 Jun 2018 First Counseling 16 to 20 Jul 2018 Second Counselling 27 to 31 Aug 2018 Third Counseling 10 to 14 Sep 2018 Second Counselling 28 Sep 2018 Date of closing of admission 30 Sep 2018 Exam Pattern The examination shall be conducted in ENGLISH medium ONLY. Entrance Examination will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT) [Online] only. The duration of the examination shall be 1½ hours (One Hour and Thirty minutes). The Entrance Examination is common to all and consists of 100 single best response type MCQs having four alternatives and the questions will be asked from concerned subjects to the respective course |
