| prince karak | Re: Placement of IISC Bangalore The Indian Institute of Science was founded to promote scientific temper and research aptitude in the nation. A focus on excellence in research, the academic freedom it offers, coupled with a beautiful campus and a salubrious climate has meant that the Institute is the most sought after destination for top researchers and young minds. It is their endeavour to make the Institute a natural destination for companies that put a premium on intellectual capital. Campus placement is a facility provided for all students of IISc. Registration is not compulsory and students not interested in industry jobs are requested not to register for jobs placements. However, registration is compulsory for students interested in placements through OCCaP. Students having 4 or more course backlogs are advised not to register for placements. Such students are advised to improve their performance and register after the semester examinations in December. All placement activities on campus will take place only via the OCCaP.
