UPSC Civil Service Exam is popularly known as IAS exam which is a three tire exam process as per UPSC Syllabus .

The exam comprises of preliminary exam conducted in June, followed by mains in November – December and finally interview in March

Eyesight requirements:

Standards for distant & near vision for Class of Service

Technical Services
Better eye (corrected vision) Worse eye

Distant vision 6/6 or 6/9 6/12 or 6/9
Near vision J1** J2**

Types of corrections permitted
Spectacles, CL and Refractive Surgery* like Lasik, ICL, IOL etc.

Limits of refractive permitted +4.00 D (including cylinder)-Non- Pathological Myopia +4.00 D (including cylinder) (Hypermetropia)

Color vision requirements High Grade

Binocular vision needed Yes

Eligibility:

Candidate must have Bachelor degree in any discipline from recognized university.Candidates are appearing the final year exams can also apply.
