Staff Selection Commission SSC conducts an All India Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade C and D.

The Commission will release recruitment notice on June 17, 2017.

SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed class 12 standard or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.

Age Limit:

Candidates should be in between 18-27 years

Nationality:

A candidate must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East 2 African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Application Fee-

The application fee for General Category candidate is Rs 100/-.

However, women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex S are exempted from payment of fee.
