Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), formerly Nagpur University, is a public university, established on 4 August 1923 in the city of Nagpur in Maharashtra state in central India. It is one of the oldest universities in India and the second oldest in the state of Maharashtra, after the University of Mumbai.

Phd Entrance Exam

Admission for Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University is carried out on the basis of online entrance exam (PET).

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have completed post graduation in respective subjects from a recognized University are eligible to apply for this exam. They should have secured a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination. Candidates belonging to reserved categories in the State of Maharashtra can avail relaxation of 5% marks as per the norms of the University.

Exam Pattern

Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) is conducted by the University twice every year. The exam is conducted online. There will be a total of 100 multiple choice objective type questions.
