The University of Mumbai is provides Food and Fermentation Technology Division through ICT Dept. of Chemical Technology. The Department of Food Engineering and Technology is in 2012-13 began on a good note and witnessed the continuing progress in research and development in the Food Engineering and Technology Department as well as good campus placement encompassing national, international and multinational companies. The interdisciplinary master’s program in food biotechnology has picked up very well. The ICT Mumbai has begun a new Ph.D program in food science to attract students from diverse backgrounds and explore newer areas of research.
