As on 5th Feb 2013 according to official website of the IISER Trivandrum, there are following job positions required:

Assistant Professor (on contractual basis)

Salary:
Rs. 15,600 - 39,100 (PB-3) with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 6,000
Initial pay Rs. 20,150
Total Emoluments Rs. 50,075

Eligibility:
The applicant should have PhD with First Class at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout.

Assistant Professor

Salary:
Rs. 15,600 - 39,100 (PB-3) with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 8,000
Initial pay Rs. 30,000
Total Emoluments Rs. 71,168

Eligibility:
The applicant should have PhD with First Class at the in relevant branch with a very good academic record throughout.

Associate Professor

Salary:
Rs 37,400 - 67,000 (PB-4) with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 9,500
Initial pay will be Rs. 42,800 and
Total Emoluments Rs. 96,622
