The Department of Botany, West Bengal State University, Barasat, WB, was built up in 2009 with an endorsed staff quality of 7 posts. The dynamic and visionary commitments of a few famous botanists earned the Department universal acknowledgment for its educating and research in stress science and plant pathology.

The Department has developed impressively from that point forward and now has 96 No. of M.Sc. what's more, 36 Ph. D. understudies.
