Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) is a major public sector bank based in Chennai (Madras), with about 3700 domestic branches, Yes Indian Overseas Bank has rolled out its in-house developed Core Banking Software Solution (VBS) in all its 2026 branches. Indian Overseas Bank has also made available alternate delivery channels such as ATM, Internet Banking and Payment System such as RTGS, NEFT and Cheque Truncation System to its customers as per RBI guidelines. The CBS software and other application software developed by the Bank’s in-house team cater to most of the requirements of the bank. The CBS software is running successfully in 2026 branches. The bank plans to sell its CBS and other software through such a joint venture and has a well defined product roadmap for the same. The Bank has called for an EOI and short listed prospective IT companies for forming a JV.
