NIMCET entrance exam conducted by National Institute of Technology (NIT) on rotation basis. Eligibility criteria Applicants should be graduation degree holders (BCA/B.Sc (Hons.)/B.Sc/BIT) as per 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized university. They must have studied Mathematics or Statistics or equivalent subject during graduation. Applicants belonging to General category are required to score a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA score in aggregate of all subjects. SC/ST category Applicants need to obtain at least 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA score on a 10 point scale in aggregate. Key dates Notification release 2nd week of February 2018 Online application form release 3rd week of February 2018 Last date to submit the online application form 1st week of April 2018 Last date to send application form 3rd week of April 2018 Availability of admit card 2nd week of May 2018 Date of Exam Last week of may 2018 Publication of Result 2nd week of June 2018 Counselling starts 3rd week of June 2018 Fee: The application fee is non-refundable in any circumstances. The application fee for OPEN/OBC will be Rs.1, 800/- and Rs. 900/- for SC/ST. Exam Pattern Duration of Exam: The total time given for whole exam is two and half hours. Exam Mode: The exam will be organized through pen and paper based mode. Language: The question paper will be asked in English language only. Types of Questions: It will be based on Multiple Choice Question. Total Questions: Total of 120 questions will be asked. Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be given for each correct answer.
