Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducts Chartered Accountant - Common Proficiency Test (CA CPT) for candidates who wish to pursue a career in Chartered Accountancy.

CA CPT is an entry-level qualification test held twice a year- once in June and once in December. Candidates who will qualify CPT exam will be enrolled to IPCC (Intermediate Professional Competence Course) which would train them for next level of Chartered Accountancy course.

Last date of filling CA CPT Application form 2017 and making the payment (without late fee)

Last date of filling CA CPT Application form 2017 and making the payment (with late fee) November 1, 2017

Application Correction Window I (without fee)
1st week of November 2017 (for one week)

CA CPT Eligibility Criteria 2017

One who appeared for CA CPT 2017, registered for CPT course before October 1, 2017. Only registered candidates were eligible to apply for CA CPT 2017 December examination.
• One must have passed 10th and 12th level qualifying examination from a recognised board of education or equivalent examination,
• One must have registered with ICAI for CPT course before October 1, 2017, for December examination,
• One who have completed bachelor or Master’s degree in commerce with at least 55% marks are exempted from appearing in CA CPT 2017,
• Candidates holding bachelor or Master’s degree in stream other than commerce must have obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate of all subjects,
• One holding UG/PG degree from Open University is also exempted from appearing in the entry level test.
