The Sikkim Manipal University is a co-educational, public-private university in Gangtok, Sikkim, India.

The SMU was established in 1995.

The campus is spread across 35 beautifully landscaped acres.

In 2000 the SMU is Establishment of SMIT at Majhitar, Rangpo.
