IIT Bombay started conducting ISTE Short Term Training Programme (STTP) for empowering teachers of engineering colleges.

Two-Week ISTE STTP on Environmental Studies

Under the National Mission on Education through ICT, MHRD, New Delhi

June 2nd, 2015 to June 12th, 2015

Duration and Venue-

The duration of the STTP is 2 weeks (10 days).

It commences on Tuesday, 02nd June, 2015 at 9:30 hrs and ends at 18:00 hrs on Friday, 12th June with a one day break on Sunday, 7th June, 2015.

Participants will be expected to carry out some additional assignments in the two weeks following the completion of the course.

Who Should Attend-

Faculty colleagues who are presently teaching in

Engineering, Diploma

Post-Graduate Science Institutes are eligible to attend this training programme.

Science teachers (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology) should be teaching either PG courses (MSc Level) or UG Engineering courses (B.E/B.Tech).

Faculty from Humanities (English, Economics, Social Sciences) and Management would also benefit towards their teaching of the Environmental Studies course.

Faculty from Architecture may also attend, if the course contents are relevant for them in teaching their regular course.

This workshop is only for Faculty. Students are not entitled to attend the course.

Sustainable Development
Ecology
Biodiversity
Natural Resources (Food, water, energy, forest)
Environmental Pollution
Social issues and Environment
Ethics
Economics
Global Climate Change
