The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited has various Coal Based Power Stations. These Coal Based Power Stations are provides their data in Units. With 20 coal based power stations, NTPC is the largest thermal power generating company in the country. The company has a coal based installed capacity of 38,755 MW. The NTPC stations completed synchronisation of its first 500 MW unit at Singrauli. In 1988, it commissioned two 500 MW units, one each in Rihand and Ramagundam. Loharinag Pala Hydro Power Project by NTPC Ltd: Loharinag Pala Hydro Power Project (600 MW i.e.150 MW x 4 Units) is located on river Bhagirathi (a tributary of the Ganges) in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand state.
