The National Eligibility and Entrance Test NEET-UG replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT)

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET is an entrance examination in India conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission in MBBS and BDS courses.

NEET 2017 Important Dates

NEET 2017 applications January 31, 2017
Last date for submitting the application form March 1, 2017
Registration window for candidates above 25 years of age March 31 to 5, 2017
Date of uploading of Admit-Card on website April 22, 2017
NEET 2017 Exam Date May 7, 2017
Downloading of OMR Answer Sheet Last week of May*
Declaration of NEET 2017 Result June 8, 2017

NEET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have appeared/qualified Class 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology (PCB), Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT)

Candidates belonging to General category must have secured at least 50% marks in PCB. However, SC/ST/OBC candidates have to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in PCB

Candidates who have passed the B.Sc examination of an Indian University with not less than 2 of these subjects-Physics, Chemistry, Biology) Botany and Zoology)/Biotechnology

Candidates must be at least 17 years of age at the time of admission

The age limit for General Category candidates is 25 years as on date of the examination.
The age limit for SC/ST/OBC candidates is 30 years (a relaxation for 5 years is given).
