The M.A. Degree course offered by Deccan College Post Graduate and Research Institute, Pune is of 2 years duration and consists of 4 semesters. In each semester students offer 4 papers. The course is open to full-time regular students only. Eligibility for Admission • B.A. degree, with Ancient Indian History, Culture and / or Archaeology / History / Sanskrit / Prakrit / Pali / Anthropology / Geography / Fine Arts / Architecture with a minimum of 55% marks or B+ or equivalent grade of a recognized University. • B.Sc. degree, with Anthropology / Geography / Geology / Botany / Physics / Chemistry as a major subject with a minimum of 55% marks or B+ or equivalent grade of a recognized University. Admission Process For Indian Candidates • One needs to apply on a prescribed form. The application form duly filled in by the candidate in own hand and a passport –size photo affixed together with attested copies of the documents, must reach the Asstt. Registrar, Academic Section of the Institute. o Marks-lists of the following qualifying examinations: SSC, HSC, B.A. / B.Sc. o Character certificate from the Head of the Department / from which the candidate has obtained his qualifying degree Documents Required Migration Certificate (no objection certificate from the University last attended). Mark-list of the last qualifying examination Degree / Passing certificate of the last qualifying exam. Character certificate from the Head of the Department / Institute from which the candidate has obtained his qualifying degree Gap certificate (if applicable) Documentary proof regarding date of birth For Foreign Candidates • One needs to apply for admission in the prescribed form. The application form duly filled in by the candidate in own hand with a passport size photo affixed together with attested copies of the following documents must reach the Assistant Registrar, Academic Section. o Statement of Marks of the last qualifying degree examination.
