State Bank of Hyderabad was constituted as Hyderabad State Bank on 08.08.1941 under Hyderabad State Bank Act, 1941. The Bank begun with the special qualification of being the national bank of the past State of Hyderabad, covering present-day Telangana locale of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad – Karnataka of Karnataka state and Marathwada of Maharashtra state, to deal with its money

In 1956, the Bank was assumed control by Reserve Bank of India as its first backup and its name was changed from Hyderabad State Bank to State Bank of Hyderabad. The Bank turned into a backup of State Bank of India on the first October 1959 and is presently the biggest Associate Bank of State Bank of India.
