Prof. Velagapudi Uma Maheswara Rao born on fifteenth February 1957, to Sri Nagabhushanam and Lakshmipadmabai, in an Educational Family in Krishna District, Prof. Velagapudi Uma Maheswara Rao is known for his straightforwardness, unassuming nature and commitment to work.

After his initial training at different spots from Srikakulam to Guntur areas, he took his M.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics from Andhra University in 1978 and later got his Ph.D. Degree in 1982. He joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Mathematics, Andhra University in 1984 and following three years he returned to his parent division - Applied Mathematics.

In this way he progressed toward becoming Professor in 1998. He effectively guided 12 investigate understudies for their M. Phil. degrees and 15 look into understudies for their Ph.D. degrees up until this point. He has distributed 125 Research papers so far in different profoundly rumored International Journals. He was the group pioneer for the DST, New Delhi Project 'Vitality Extraction from Black Holes'.
