NITP, Inc. was established in 1984 and is 100% devoted to Federal Planning Seminars. While it is based in Rockville, MD, its seminars are conducted throughout the United States.

NITP Retirement Seminars

NITP (National Institute of Transition Planning, Inc) offers training seminars on Federal Benefits, Financial Planning, Thrift Savings Plan Options/Investments for employees at all stages of their Federal careers: New Employees, Mid-Career Employees, and Pre-Retirement Employees.

The seminars address the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS), the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) and the special retirement provision for law enforcement officers, fire fighters, and air traffic controllers, when applicable.

It works with HR/Training Officers to produce the seminar that meets Federal Agency needs. In addition to Federal Benefits and Financial Planning, available topics include (but not limited to): Income Tax Planning, Estate Planning, Lifetime Health and Fitness, and Transition to Retirement.

It has Federal Benefits specialists who can help Federal Employees determine if one is in the wrong retirement system and if one is due any relief under FERCCA, and can explain the VERA /VSIP options, if applicable to the agency.
