Go to the UPSC official website

Click on IES exam Admit card option under what’s new section

By click there you will land on admit card page which look like this image




UPSC IES Exam Pattern– Prelims

1. Objective Type Paper-1 General Studies 200 2 Hours

Total 500 5 Hours

The UPSC prelims consist of objective type exam.

In this UPSC IES prelims, there will be two papers i.e. I & II.

For IES Paper I, the number of marks is 200 and the exam duration is 2 hours.

For IES Paper II, the number of marks is 300 and the duration is 3 hours.

So the total number of marks in UPSC IES prelims is 500 marks.

And the total duration of UPSC IES prelims is 5 Hours.

IES Mains Exam – UPSC IES Exam Pattern

UPSC IES Mains Examination

UPSC IES Mains consists of conventional type exam.

And the UPSC mains exam also has two papers.

For both Paper I & Paper II, the number of marks is same i.e. 300 marks.

So the total number of marks for UPSC IES mains exam is 600 marks.

For both papers, the duration is 3 hours.

Therefore the total duration of UPSC IES mains is 6 Hours.
