The Lovely Professional University LPU is not approved by the All India Council For Technical Education AICTE

AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR. V/S ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION & ORS, and various other cases.

Lovely Professional University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India.

The University is a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU),

Teacher education programmes B.Ed., M.Ed., B.Ed. - M.Ed. (Integrated), B.A. B.Ed/B.sc. B.Ed., B.Ed. (Yoga), ETT and NTT; and Physical Education programmes B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed. and D.P.Ed. are recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)

B. Pharmacy and M.Pharmacy programmes are approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)

B.Arch and M.Arch (Executive) programmes are approved by Council of Architecture (COA)
