Maharashtra Public Service Commission MPSC has released the notification for 188 posts of Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector. It is one of the prestigious post under RTO Maharashtra.

The MPSC RTO Assistant Inspector 2017 pre exam was held on 30th April 2017 and main on 6th August 2017.

Seat Distribution –
900+ seats for open category (for 2018 not yet released)

Eligibility –

Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering from government recognized Institute.

Candidates having bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Automobile Engineering can also apply.

Production engineering, fabrication engineering, metallurgy engineering, industrial engineering candidates can also apply now.

Final year candidates can also apply but they should complete degrees before mains exam.

Knowledge of Marathi.

Age Limit – 19 – 38 years.
5 year relaxation for other backward category candidates.

Experience –

One year experience in maintenance and repair of heavy and light vehicles.

If candidate don’t have experience he should take 1 year experience after selection.

License –

Candidates should have license for light and heavy vehicle before mains exam.
Height – 163 cm
Chest – 79 cm.

Conditions after Selection –

5 year service bond.
Candidate should be ready to work anywhere in Maharashtra.

Exam Pattern -

Two stage exam

1. Prelim – 100 Marks.
2. Mains – 300 Marks.

For preliminary exam

1.General awareness – current affairs, general knowledge, history
2. Aptitude – quantitative and Logical aptitude
3. Mechanical/ Automobile – latest trend and technology in mechanical and Automobile Engineering.
