As you asking here I am telling Eligibility Criteria for IPS (Indian Police Service) Physical requirement for its Training: Physical requirement for Male and Female IPS Officers Male Female Height 165 cm[For ST (except SC/ OBC) – 160 cm] 150 cm [For ST (except SC/ OBC)- 145 cm] Chest Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm Eyesight 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye In the first Medial Examination i.e., just after the interview, those didn’t meet the chest expansion criteria can appeal or show their chest expansion during second Medical Examination i.e., after the result. In case, if expansion is less during Medical Examination then the candidate will go to next service. The other medical requirements other than physical fitness for IPS are as given below: Blood Pressure (High): Age 23 – 123; age 24 – 124; age 25 – 122; age 28 – 124; age 30 – 125; age 32 – 126; age 34 – 127 Ear- Good listening and normal ear cavity; 1000-4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels Nasal- Applicants should not stutter while speaking Ladies should not be pregnant at the time of Medical Test High standard for the Colorblind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should be stereoscopic Physical Training: Once a Applicants meets all the physical and medical requirements he/she gets selected for IPS (Indian Police Service) post, the first 3 months of their 2 years assessment period would be in LBSNAA, Mussoorie for the Foundation Course, which is a regular training for IAS, IPS, and IFS officers. Then the Applicants selected for IPS would proceed to the National Police Academy (NPA), Hyderabad for 11 months of academic training. Here Applicants would undergo both indoor and outdoor training. Indoor Training Classes on IPC/CrPC/IEA/Ethics/Police Management etc along with seminars and lectures from renowned personalities from around the country. Outdoor Training PT, Cross Country Runs of 16kms, Firearms training, Route marches, Unarmed Combat training, games, horse-riding and much more. |
