The Campus of VIT University total rural area is spread over 250 acres (1.0 km2). The university's main campus in Vellore is on 250 acres of land.

VIT will be the first university to set up a campus in Amaravati, the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh.

VIT-AP has been allotted a 200-acre land parcel (in two phases), with the university paying ₹50 crores towards the purchase of the first 100 acres.

And Bhopal campus is to be spread over an area of 100 acres with an investment of ₹500 crores.

A 360-acre eco-friendly campus with over 50.83 lakh sq.ft built-up space at Vellore
A 170 acre eco-friendly second campus at Chennai
Over 24,000 students, with nearly 1/3rd of them women
Students from 50 countries as well as from every state in India
Over 1400 faculty and 1413 staff
