Analog Devices Inc. USA, and Indian Institute of Technology, Madras together created the "Analog Devices-IIT Madras DSP Learning Centre" as a joint venture. The charter of the learning centre is to act as an effective bridge between the academic curriculum and industry needs in the specialized area of digital signal processing applications. The Learning centre is a unique initiative in academic-industry collaboration. Admission Procedure Eligibility: One who has completed at least 6 semesters of studies is eligible to attend the course. Prerequisites: One needs to fulfil the following pre requisites in view of the intended course at IIT Madras: • Understanding of Microprocessor concepts and instructions • Basic idea of assembly language programming • Basic concepts of signals and systems like o Linearity of System and Convolution, o Modulation, o PCM (Pulse Code Modulation), o DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform) and IDFT. • C programming like o File handling in C language o Working knowledge of Arrays, Functions and Pointers o Concepts like pass by value, pass by reference, passing arrays to functions, pointers to functions, etc., Fee Details: One must register for the course by paying the full course fees. The Centre would register the candidate in the course slot desired by the candidate only after receiving the payment. If there are no vacant seats in the desired slot, the candidate must select an alternative slot. The course fee for the Finishing School is Rs. 4500 for a student member. (ADI-IITM DSP Details |
