Hi I would like to have the information about IL&FS wanting to take legal course of action against SEBI order directing the company to repay Rs59.16 crore of unlawful gains along with simple interest?

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd, which was prior known as Maytas Infra Ltd, is wanting to take the lawful course to challenge the capital market controller's request requesting that the organization pay up Rs. 59.16 crore of affirmed unlawful profits.

"The organization might investigate and benefit every single legitimate right accessible to it under the law to secure the premiums of the organization," said IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd in an announcement issued to the stock market.

The announcement said that while the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has guided the organization to reimburse Rs59.16 crore of unlawful picks up alongside straightforward enthusiasm of 12% a year since 7 January 2009, it has recognized that the present promoters of the organization did not have any part in the insider exchanging matter and in this manner has not been suspended or controlled it from getting to the capital market.

"Notwithstanding, SEBI order, considering the unique actualities and conditions of the case that (i) Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services Limited (IL&FS) was gotten as new promoter of the organization by the Hon'ble Company Law Board (CLB); and (ii) IL&FS did not have any part or inclusion in the insider exchanging of Maytas Infra Limited, did not felt important to limitation/suspend IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd (IECCL) getting to the capital market," said the announcement.
