The NCBS, Bangalore centre of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (Deemed University) is conducting entrance exam for PHD.

The National Centre for Biological Sciences is a centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai.

The Department of Biological Sciences (DBS) is located at TIFR in Mumbai.

The TIFR Nationwide Entrance Examination for Biology is also called the Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS).

Students need to apply separately to each institution that uses the JGEEBILS score.
