Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, formerly Purvanchal University, is in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh.

It was established in 1987 as a residential-cum-affiliating university.

It is named after Shri Vir Bahadur Singh, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.
