Assam Agricultural University is the first institution of its kind in the whole of North-Eastern Region of India. Its main goal is to produce globally competitive human resources in farm sector and to carry out research in both conventional and frontier areas for production optimization as well as to distribute the generated technologies as public good for helping the food growers/produces and traders involved in the sector while emphasizing on sustainability, equity and overall food security at household level.


B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture


Eligibility:

One must have passed Higher Secondary/10+2/ Intermediate exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry and Agriculture (PCAg) from a recognized University or Board.

One must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for Gen/OBC/UPS category and 40% in aggregate for SC/ST/DAC in qualifying examination.

One shall be at least 16 years of age

One must have passed the qualifying exam in one sitting or in betterment exam in minimum four subjects as per Boards criteria.

One passing in supplementary or compartmental or improvement exam in a single subject are not eligible.

To become eligible for admission in to various degree programmes of the University, one must have passed in all the subjects, separately for theory and practical in the qualifying examination.
