The University of Calcutta (CU), Kolkata invites application form for admission to 2 years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Program for the session 2018-20

University of Calcutta B Ed Admission 2018 -

Subjects

(1) Bengali, (2) English, (3) Sanskrit, (4) Mathematics, (5) History, (6) Geography, (7) Economics, (8) Accountancy and Bookkeeping, (9) Education, (10) Political Science, (11) Hindi, (12) Urdu, (13) Arabic

Total No. of Seats-

50 (Deputed - 25 & Fresher - 25)

Only one seat is allotted to each subject i.e. Bengali, English, History, Education and Mathematics for the candidates of Other University (Total seat allotted for Fresher/O.U.-05)

Eligibility Criteria-

The B.Ed. Course will follow the norms set by NCTE, the State Govt. & University of Calcutta

Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree and/or in the Masters Degree in Sciences/Humanities/Social Sci., Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science & Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent there to are eligible for admission

Requirement of 50% (fifty) marks shall not apply to the persons appointed as teachers prior to the commencement of the NCTE, (Regulations, Norms & Procedure) Second Amendment Regulations, 2010 as laid down at para 8(i) of the aforesaid Gazette

Age Limit-

For Fresher Students (General Category) - 40 years (as on 30th June 2018)

For Deputed Students (General Category) - No age bar

Age limit is relaxable for maximum 5 (five) years for students belonging to SC/ST and PwD categories

Last Date of Online Application Submission Form: 19th June 2018

Last Date of e-receipt of Payment on: 20th June 2018 (upto 11.30pm)

Provisional Merit List will be Published on: 22nd June 2018 in website after 05.00 pm

Provisional Merit List of Shortlisted Candidates will be Published on: 26th June 2018 in website

Submission of Printed Copy of Application Form with e-receipt of Payment: 26th June to 28th June 2018 (12 noon to 3pm) by short listed candidates only

Date of Counseling & Admission (Spot) for Deputed: 05th July 2018 & Fresher Candidates 06th July 2018
