facts of Crime : White-Collar Crime and Organized Crime

Unit-IV
Violence : Forms, Theories and Control Strategies, Atrocities Against Weaker Sections :
Women, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

Paper-II Social Welfare Services


Unit -I
Concept of Social Welfare, Welfare State, Growth and Development of Social Welfare
Services in India, Social Welfare Services under the five year plans.

Unit-II
Central Social Welfare Board : Structure and Functioning, Social Welfare Agencies ;
Government and Non-Government Organizations, Administration of Social Welfare
Services in India and State of Uttar Pradesh.

Unit-III
Social Welfare and Development Programmes : Child Development, youth development,
women's Empowerment, Welfare of the Aged, Welfare of Handicapped, Welfare of
Backward Classes with special reference to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, Labour
Welfare.

Unit-IV
Social Security, Social Defence Programmes and Services, Medical and Psychiatric Social
Work, Rural Development, Urban Community Development.
