The Diploma in Pre-primary Teacher Training is a unique, holistic package that aims to help the learners develop the knowledge, attitude and skills necessary for working with young children and equip them to organize and manage child care centers like Crèches, Pre¬ Primary Schools, Nursery, Kindergarten, and Day Care Centers. The programme provides in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge related to Early Childhood Care & Education.

The project work and practical that form a major component of the prgramme would help the learners develop the requisite attitude and skills necessary for working effectively as early childhood educators. For the project work the learner is placed in a Pre-Primary School for 30 to 40 working days. The training is very specially vocational in nature, opening avenues for employment as well as self employment. After successful completion of the training, students will be awarded a Diploma from the institute. A separate examination will be conducted by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Students passing this examination will additionally be awarded a Diploma by IGNOU, New Delhi.
