The Application process of IIT Guwahati M.Tech Admission 2017 was held from March 22 to April 17, 2017. Candidates will be given admissions on the basis of their performance in GATE. IIT Guwahati M.Tech Programmes Dept. of Mechanical Engineering (i) Fluids and Thermal Engineering (ii) Machine Design (iii) Computer Assisted Manufacturing (iv) Computational Mechanics (v) Aerodynamics and Propulsion Dept. of Civil Engineering (i) Structural Engineering (ii) Geotechnical Engineering (iii) Water Resources Engineering and Management (iv) Environmental Engineering (v) Transportation Systems Engineering (vi) Infrastructure Engineering and Management Dept. of Chemical Engineering (i) Petroleum Science and Technology (ii) Material Science and Technology Dept. of Biotechnology Biotechnology Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering Computer Science and Engineering Dept. of Electronics & Electrical Engineering (i) Signal Processing (ii) VLSI (iii) Communication Engineering (iv)Power and Control (v) RF and Photonics IIT Guwahati M.Tech Eligibility Criteria Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in an appropriate area and a valid GATE score Candidates are required to obtain minimum CGPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks or first class in the qualifying degree (relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 CPI for SC/ST/PD candidates) B.Tech degree holders from an IIT with a minimum CPI of 7.0 need not appear for GATE. IIT Guwahati M.Tech Selection Procedure Candidates will be selected on the basis of their GATE scores. They may further have to appear for a written test and a personal interview.
