The Competitive Examination Centre of the Savitribai Phule Pune University was established in 1970.

This institute is with the objective of providing academic facilities to the students of Maharashtra aspiring for administrative career by successfully appearing for the Civil Services Examinations.

The long-term goal of this Center is to create awareness and interest among students about Civil Services, and ensure that an increasing percent of youth from Maharashtra gets represented in the services.

The Competitive Examination Center has been conducting coaching/training programs for the Civil Services Examinations for all students.

The Center is conducting pre-examinations training program for UPSC & MPSC Civil Services Examinations for SC, ST, OBC Minority communities candidates.
