The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is easier, if you are fully prepared for exam. The questions asked in WBJEE are actually easier than that of JEE Mains. However, the exam on the whole is more difficult than JEE Mains because of the time constraints. Category 1: Each single answer type question of one mark, with -0.25 negative marking. There are 60 such questions in maths, 30 in physics and 30 in chemistry. Category 2: Each single answer type question of two marks each with a negative marking of -0.5. There are 10 such questions in maths, 5 in physics and 5 in chemistry. Category 3: Each multiple answer type question carrying two marks with no negative marking, marks awarded for partially correct answers but zero if even one wrong answer is marked. There are 10 such questions in maths, 5 in physics and 5 in chemistry. WBJEE Exam Pattern Type of Paper: The question paper will contain objective type questions, with four options for the question. Mode of Exam: The question paper will be asked in OMR pattern. Using of Pen: Candidates are required to mark their answers by using only blue or black ball point pen. Negative Marking: Negative marking exist in category-1 and category-2. 1/4 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer of category1 and 1/2 answer will be deducted for each incorrect response of category 2. The questions will be of three categories mentioned below: Subject - Physics + Chemistry Category 1 - (30+30)x1 marks Category 2 - (5+5)x2 marks Category 3 - (5+5)x2 marks No. of Questions - 40 + 40 Total Marks - 50+50=100 Mathematics Category 1 - 50×1 mark Category 2 - 15×2 marks Category 3 - 10×2 marks No. of Questions - 75 Total Marks - 100 |
