Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is one of the standard law entrance exams conducted by 18 National Law Universities (NLUs). It is the all India level law common entrance exam for admission in integrated LL.B. and LL.M. programme. CLAT 2018 exam will be organized by the National University of Advanced Legal Studies. CLAT Scores are considered by various private law colleges and government undertaking colleges across India. CLAT Exam Date 2018 Availability of Online Application Form 1st January 2018 Online Fee Payment 1st January – 31st March 2018 Offline Challan Payment 1st January – 21st March 2018 Closing date of Application Submission along with order of preferences for NLUs 31st March 2018 Last date for printing/downloading application 12th May 2018 Issue Date of Admit Card 20th April 2018 Date of Examination 13th May 2018 (3:00 PM to 5:00 PM) Publishing of Answer Key 15th May 2018 Representation, if any, relating to the exam, questions or key 16th – 18th May 2018 Date for uploading the amended answer key (if required) 26th May 2018 Announcement of Result (issue of merit list) 31st May 2018 Release of first indicative seat allocation list based on merit-cum-preference 7th June 2018 Closure of Admission 6th July 2018 CLAT Exam Pattern For UG Courses: • The online examination will be held for integrated UG law courses. • Exam will be held in online mode (Computer Based Test). • Only objective type questions of maximum 200 marks will be asked from each subject areas. • The duration of exam will be 2 hours. • The language of question paper will be English only. • Each right answer will be awarded 1 mark. • There is a system of negative marking. 0.25 marks will be subtracted for each wrong answer. For PG Courses: • The online examination will be held for post-graduate law courses (i.e. LL.M.). • Exam will be held in online mode (Computer Based Test). • Only multiple-choice questions of maximum 150 marks will be asked from each subject areas. • The duration of CLAT exam will be 2 hours. • The language of question paper will be English only. • Each right answer will be awarded 1 mark. • There is a system of negative marking. 0.25 marks will be subtracted for each wrong answer. |
