Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University is an open university college in Lucknow in the Indian condition of Uttar Pradesh. It was built up as the Uttar Pradesh Technical University by the Government of Uttar Pradesh on 8 May 2000.

To decrease workload and to guarantee appropriate administration, the college was bifurcated into partitioned colleges, Gautam Buddha Technical University and Mahamaya Technical University, with impact from 1 May 2010. In 2013, as another administration came into power, the college was shaped at the end of the day by joining the two back together on 5 January 2013.

It is an affiliating college, with around 800 universities subsidiary to it. The college is on the IET Lucknow grounds. Also, the college had a Center and Regional Office in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, which was held by Mahamaya Technical University.

Courses offered

The University offers undergraduate courses in engineering, architecture, hotel management and catering technology, fashion and apparel design, and pharmacy, leading to degrees of B. Tech, B. Arch, BHMCT, BFAD, and B. Pharm respectively. The college offers postgraduate courses in PC applications and business organization prompting degrees of MCA, MBA and MBA (Rural Development).
