Hello sir, I’m preparing for CDS exam. I want to know that what eligibility is needed for CDS Exam I. Will you please provide me detail for required CDS Exam I Eligibility?

The Union Public Service Commission is conducts Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination for recruitment of various vacancies under Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy.

There are basically four different training academies which one can join through CDS exam.

Indian Military Academy for Indian Army (Only Men)

Indian Air Force Academy for Indian Air Force (Only Men)

Naval Academy for Indian Navy (Only Men)

Officers Training Academy (Men and Women)

Educational Qualification:

For Indian Military Academy/Officers’ Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent

For Indian Naval Academy: Bachelor of Engineering

For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering

Age:

Indian Military Academy (IMA)
Age:
Minimum: 20 years and Maximum: 24 years

Indian Naval Academy (INA)
Age:
Minimum: 20 years and Maximum: 24 years


Air Force Academy (AFA)
Age: Candidates must be 20 to 24 years

Officers Training Academy (OTA - SSC Course for men
Age: Candidates must be born not before July 2, 1992 and after July 1, 1998

Officers’ Training Academy —(OTA SSC Women Non-Technical Course)
Age: Must be born not before July 2, 1992 and not later than July, 1998
