GMAT Data Sufficiency (DS) is a question type on the GMAT Quantitative section. On the GMAT, the format of each Data Sufficiency problem is the same: you’re asked a question and your’e given two mathematical statements. Where You need to decide whether the statements give you enough information to answer the question. You don’t need to give the answer to the actual question. You just have to decide whether either statement (or both statements) gives data that is sufficient for finding an answer. Tips to improve DS GMAT 1. Familiarize with the Answer Choices 2. Takes notes efficiently 3. Don’t look at the statements together. 4. Watch out for Important information 5. Know when to solve single-variable equations. 6. Know when it’s necessary to solve a system of equations. 7. Study prime factorizations and divisibility. 8. Study overlapping sets. 9. Remember that only 2 out of the 5 answer choices involve looking at both statements TOGETHER. 10. Be on the lookout for statements that give no new information. |
