The School of Management Studies (SMS CUSAT) built up in 1964 with an intend to advance Management Education, conveys the adventure of the Cochin University of Science and Technology. It began working in the premises of Fertilizers And Chemicals Travancore Ltd. (Certainty) as a piece of Kerala University with Professor Emeritus Padmabhushan (Dr.) M. V. Pylee as the Director.

The School has been positioned as one of the main 50 Business Schools in the nation. The school is constantly seeking after its point of instructing, preparing, research and consultancy. On account of this point, it offers an assortment of courses. They are four Semester MBA (Master of Business Administration), four semester MBA IB (Master of Business Administration worked in International Business), four semester MBA TT (Master of Business Administration spent significant time in Travel and Tourism), six semester low maintenance MBA program, two semester M.Phil program and Ph.D program.
