The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is the space agency of the Government of India headquartered in the city of Bangalore.

About ISRO AWS Network:

ISRO Develops Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) - Agreement Signed for Production

Development of an Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) was taken up by ISRO with the participation of Indian industry and the prototype has been successfully demonstrated.

On March 18, 2005, an agreement was signed by Antrix Corporation, the commercial arm of the Department of Space with a private company, M/s Astra Microwave Products Limited, Hyderabad, for production and supply of AWS to be deployed in various parts of the country.

Astra Microwave Products Ltd, will productionise and deploy AWS in the country based on the requirement of the user agencies.
