About the Indian Air Force : The Indian Air Force Test Pilot School is a unit of the Indian Air Force (IAF) that evaluates aircraft and systems for induction into user organisations. Most new aircraft types and major airborne systems must have ASTE's stamp of approval to be considered fit for service in India


About IAF Pilot’s Badge (Wings)

This badge consists of a full wing with the monogram ‘IAF’ in the centre, wreath, and surmounted by the State Emblem, all embroidered in cotton thread and mounted on dark blue extending 3.2 mm beyond the edges of the embroidery.


Types of Pilots Badge (Wings)


Wings and lettering – White
Laurel wreath – Brown
Shading, eyes of lions and the wheel – Black at he base of the state emblem
Tongue of the lions -Scarlet
Remainder of State Emblem -White
