The Scholastic Aptitude Test SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States. The SAT is designed to measure basic critical reading, math and writing skills. Most colleges and universities request ACT or SAT score results from applicants. SAT Eligibility Anyone and everyone interested is eligible for taking the SAT. The SAT test scores are valid for Five years, i.e., most universities accept scores up to five years old. SAT Fee Test fees for SAT for Indian students: SAT Reasoning Test Fee $29.50 International processing fee $20.00 Security surcharge to test in India & Pakistan $20.00 Total Amount $ 69.50 Late registration fee (If registering late, add this amount) $20.00 SAT Subject Tests Registration Fee $17.00 International processing fee $20.00 Security surcharge to test in India & Pakistan $20.00 Writing Test (If taken) $17.00 Language Tests with Listening (If taken) $ 18.00 All other Subject Tests (per subject) $ 8.00 each Others Late registration fee (If registering late, add this amount) $20.00 SAT Exam pattern- SAT I The SAT I tests a student's skills in Critical reading Mathematics Writing The Critical Reading The SAT I contains three critical reading sections: Reading comprehension of 25 min Sentence completions of 25 min and Paragraph-length critical reading 20 min. Reading comprehension test consists of a lot of passages followed by questions to be answered using the information given in the passages. Sentence completion problems will require filling in the blanks with appropriate word. Math section The SAT contains three Math sections: (i) Algebra and functions of 25 min (ii) Geometry Statistics of 20 min (iii) Probability and Data analysis of 20 min There will be 54 questions in all. 44 of them are multiple-choice. For the remaining ten questions, you will have to find answers on your own. The Writing The SAT writing has three sections: (i) Essay section of 25 min, (ii) Multiple choice sections lasting 25 minutes and 10 minutes. The SAT writing sections will assess your ability to improve writing samples, identify writing errors, and produce your own clear, coherent essay. SAT II Subject Tests measure your knowledge and skills in particular subject areas, and your ability to apply that knowledge.
