I am planning to apply for AIPMT (All India Pre Medical Test) but searching for details related to this exam. Will you please tell what the eligibility criteria to apply for AIPMT (All India Pre Medical Test) along with Minimum Marks required to clear exam also provide dates to apply?

AIPMT (All India Pre Medical Test) has been now replaced with NEET 2018 (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test).

NEET has taken the place of AIPMT from the year 2016. It is a gateway to get admission in MBBS/BDS programmes in various government and private institutions.

Qualification Criteria

Qualifying Exam: Candidates must pass the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry Biology/Bio-technology and English individually.

Candidates those appear/qualify the three years of B.Sc Degree with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-Technology including practical subjects are also eligible to apply.

Minimum Marks: A candidate must obtain minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology taken together. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the marks in qualifying exam should be 40%.

Appearing Candidates: Candidates who are in final year of qualifying exam are also eligible to apply for AIMPT (NEET) 2018.

Exam pattern:

Mode of Exam: The exam will be held in offline mode (pen paper mode).
Number of Attempts: Maximum of three attempts will be allowed for candidates. The number of attempts will be counted from 2017.
Type of Questions: The question will be Objective Type Questions.
Number of Questions: Total of 180 questions will be asked.
Duration of exam: The exam would be of 3 hours.
Languages: The question paper will be available in total 10 languages which are Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, oriya and Kannada.

Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be given for each correct response

Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
