Methods of EIA – Check lists – Matrices – Networks – Cost-benefit analysis – Analysis of alternatives. UNIT 3 PREDICTION AND ASSESSMENT 9 Hrs. Assessment of Impact on land, water, air, social & cultural activities and on flora & fauna- Mathematical models- Public participation – Rapid EIA. UNIT 4 ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PLAN 9 Hrs. Environmental Management Plan – preparation, implementation and review – Mitigation and Rehabilitation Plans– Policy and guidelines for planning and monitoring programmes – Post project audit – Ethical and Quality aspects of Environmental Impact Assessment. ISO 14001. UNIT 5 CASE STUDIES 9 Hrs.
